REGISTRATION FOR SPRING 2021 CLOSED ON MARCH 31, 2021

We have important updates about how our soccer program will be played this Spring.

SKOKIE AYSO IS A 100% VOLUNTEER-RUN, NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION

SPRING REGISTRATION DEADLINES:
The last day to register for Spring is March 31, 2021.  As per current state guidelines, we cannot accept registrations after teams are formed.
The last day to opt-out of Spring 2021 and receive a refund is March 15th, 2021.  There will be no refunds after March 15th, 2021.

SPRING PLAY DATES:
Sundays April 11 - June 6 between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM with NO GAMES on Mother's Day, May 9th.  

GROUPS, LOCATION AND SCHEDULE:
All games will be played at Timber Ridge Park in Skokie, at 3705 Davis St, Skokie, IL 60076.  The following groups will play on the indicated schedule every week:

10:00 AM - 11:00 AM	5U,6U,8UG
11:30 AM - 12:30 PM	10U,12U,14UG
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM	5U,6U,8UB
2:30 PM - 3:30 PM	10U,12UB
4:00 PM - 5:00 PM	14U,19UB

UNIFORMS:
Uniforms will be distributed on the first two play dates (April 11 and April 18th).  We stock a variety of sizes but some are more popular than others and sizes are first come-first served.  You should re-use your uniform from last season.  New uniforms will be offered to: new players, players moving up to a new division, and we will also replace worn or outgrown uniforms.

As you know, since March of last year, we have been operating under some form of restrictions to prevent the spread of COVID-19.  We are heartened to see vaccinations being distributed.  However we are a long way from the mass vaccination cadence that would allow us to return any semblance of pre-pandemic normal.  AYSO must take the lead on providing safe world class soccer that enriches children's lives.  

We ran our Fall soccer program under the protocols outlined here: https://www.ayso568.org/Default.aspx?tabid=954917. This protocol exceeds the State of Illinois Youth Sports standards, and it is because of this that we had no program cancellations, suspensions, or quarantine mandates last fall.  While positive tests still occurred, nobody got sick playing Skokie AYSO soccer.

Considering several factors including our current registration volume, parent feedback regarding the safety of our program, and the current COVID-19 data for Skokie, the Skokie AYSO Board has determined that we will operate our Spring 2021 soccer program using this same protocol.  You should read the page linked above, but a few very important highlights:

• Players will be in groups or pods of 10-25 players within similar age groups
• All players and spectators must check in with field monitors prior to taking the field
• Each week will consist of roughly 45 minutes of socially distanced practices with masks required
• Each week may consist of a maximum of 15 minutes intra-team or intra-group scrimmage, with masks strongly recommended
• All coaches, referees, and spectators must wear masks

We realize that this may not be the soccer program you hoped for this Spring.  We will provide you with an opt-out with refund, if you decide to cancel on or  before March 15th 2021, we will give you your money back, either a check refund or a credit for next Fall.  But you must opt out by March 15th, no refunds will be offered after that date.  To opt out, please complete the opt-out the form here: https://forms.gle/74K3eDJyBFFb84iW9
